Pickering Recreation Complex

The Pickering Swim Club is proud to be using the best short-course swimming facility in Southern Ontario.

The Recreation Complex swimming pool boasts an 8 lane 25 metre competition pool which has ample deck space and bleachers for spectators.

The Recreation Complex also has an excellent fitness facility with private and public change rooms and a 3 rink ice pad.

The Recreation Complex is located just off Brock Road and Hwy 401 and has several excellent hotels within a 5 minute drive, as well as restaurants and shopping plazas.

How To Find Us?

From the West (Toronto)

Take the 401 east. Exit at Whites Road and turn left (north). Turn right (east) at Highway 2 (Kingston Road) and continue for several  kilometers. You will pass the Pickering Town Centre. Turn right (south) on Valley Farm Road. The Complex will be on your left.

From the North

There are many ways to get to the Complex from north of Toronto/Pickering. Highway 48 will lead to the 401 to the west of us. Highways 115/35 and 12 will lead to the 401 to the east. Brock Rd Extends to the north of Durham Region.

From the East

Take the 401 west. Exit at Brock Road. and head north (right). Turn left (west) at Pickering Parkway and follow it to Valley Farm Road. Turn right (north) and the Complex will be on your right. You can also continue north on Brock to Highway 2 (Kingston Road) and turn left (east). Turn left (south) on Valley Farm Road. The Complex will be on your left.

To Kyle Allen, Jacob Dosen, Warren Mayer, and Nader Tannir for breaking Pickering Swim Club record at the Ontario Age Group SC Championships in the 15-17 year old Boys 200 m Free Relay with a time of 1:47.50.

To the 11 swimmers who qualified for the Ontario Age Group SC Championships. We had 4 best times, taking off a combined 2.25 seconds!! Congratulations to Jacob Dosen in Red 2 who took off the most time – 1.41 seconds. Great swims everyone!!

To Su Kin Cheong, our newest Level V Master Official in Central Region with Swim Ontario, after successfully completing a Level V Evaluation as Referee at sessions of the Swim Ontario Age Group Championships meet (Provincials), in London.

To Warren Mayer set 3 new Pickering Swim Club records and won gold at the Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships!! Warren broke his previous record in the 50 m butterfly in prelims – and then broke his own record again in the finals. He broke his previous record in the 50 m breaststroke on his way to a gold medal performance. Way to go Warren – we are very proud of your success!!

To the 25 swimmers who qualified for Central Region 13 & Over Short Course Championships. We had 50 best times, taking off a combined 79.91 seconds!! Congratulations to Janica Baylon in Purple who took off the most time – 10.64 seconds. Great swims everyone!!

To the 7 swimmers who qualified for the Speedo Eastern Canadian Championships. We had 12 best times, taking off a combined 5.64 seconds!! Congratulations to Warren Mayer in Red 2 who took off the most time – 3.09 seconds. Great swims everyone!!

To the 5 swimmers who qualified for the Ontario Winter Festival SC Championships. We had 5 best times, taking off a combined 5.83 seconds!! Congratulations to Leila Dayagbil in Blue 1 who took off the most time – 2.75 seconds. Great swims everyone!!

To all the swimmers for their great swims at Winterfest. We had 505 best times, taking off a combined 3503.83 seconds!! Special recognition goes to Vanessa Estrada in Dev 2 who was the most improved swimmer, taking off 125.96 seconds. Great work everyone!!

To five swimmers from the Pickering Swim Club who qualified with Ontario provincial standards in order to compete at the Ontario Cup 2014 held at the University of Toronto.  Evan Cvitkovic, Jacob Dosen, Emily Mayer, Warren Mayer, and Amy Smith swam with vigour and represented the club admirably.  Amy Smith achieved the best time in her 50 Back taking 0.45 seconds off with a time of 32.86 seconds.

To Tim Newman for receiving his SNC certification on January 6th as a new Level 3 Official in Central Region!

To Meghan Toswell Pick Varsity Swimmer (Dalhousie University) for competing at the 2013 Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke THIS WEEKEND!  Check out the opening ceremonies Friday August 2, 7-9pm on TSN2 and look for Meghan!  Meghan will compete in 200, 400, 800,1500 free.
