Competitive Swimming

Start at any age (minimum Red Cross level 8 or Life Saving Society Rookie level) - learn to GO FAST!
All returning Competitive Swimmers and Varsity Swimmers are eligible to register.  See the Swim Programs tab.

How to join the club

Registration now closed.  All interested new swimmers must attend an Assessment night.  

Next Assessment Night

Tuesday August 27th - 5:30pm to 7:00pm Pickering Recreation complex
Thursday September 5th - 5:30pm to 7:00pm  Dunbarton High School Pool

Accepted swimmers will be allowed to register on a first come first serve basis - spaces are limited.

Coach Anne wins Queen's Medal

  

Anne Ottenbrite has been selected on behalf of His Excellency the Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada to be the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

This new commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. This Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country. At the same time, it serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians. Anne will be among all Order of Canada members invited to receive the Diamond Jubilee Medal for significant achievement and remarkable service. Anne will be joined bu several former vice-regal representatives and other notable Canadians who will be a part of the presentations.

The Diamond Jubilee Gala Celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s Life of Service will be on Monday June 18th at Roy Thomson Hall.

TD Waterhouse Donates $500 to the Pickering Swim Club

CIBC Donates $1000 to the Pickering Swim Club


This $1000 cheque was awarded for parent, Ed Kastelic under the CIBC Employee as Ambassador Award Program, which recognizes the volunteer spirit of CIBC employees.
Pickering Recreation Complex

The Pickering Swim Club is proud to be using the best short-course swimming facility in Southern Ontario.

The Recreation Complex swimming pool boasts an 8 lane 25 metre competition pool which has ample deck space and bleachers for spectators.

The Recreation Complex also has an excellent fitness facility with private and public change rooms and a 3 rink ice pad.

The Recreation Complex is located just off Brock Road and Hwy 401 and has several excellent hotels within a 5 minute drive, as well as restaurants and shopping plazas.

To Meghan Toswell, PICK Varsity Swimmer (Dalhousie University) for being named 2012-13 AUS Female Rookie of the Year for being named to Nova Scotia's travel team to compete at the '2013 Canada Games' this summer. The Games are being held in Sherbrooke, Quebec in August.
