CIBC Donates $1000 to the Pickering Swim Club


This $1000 cheque was awarded for parent, Ed Kastelic under the CIBC Employee as Ambassador Award Program, which recognizes the volunteer spirit of CIBC employees.
Pickering Recreation Complex

The Pickering Swim Club is proud to be using the best short-course swimming facility in Southern Ontario.

The Recreation Complex swimming pool boasts an 8 lane 25 metre competition pool which has ample deck space and bleachers for spectators.

The Recreation Complex also has an excellent fitness facility with private and public change rooms and a 3 rink ice pad.

The Recreation Complex is located just off Brock Road and Hwy 401 and has several excellent hotels within a 5 minute drive, as well as restaurants and shopping plazas.

Jose Baylon: 

Male 400 IM ( 4:38.35L) – 30th place, -3.05s best time!. This is a *NEW* Club record.

Male 100 Breaststroke – 73rd (1:09.78L) +1.05s best time

Male 200 Breaststroke – 70th (2:30.90L) +1.94s best time

Male 200 IM – 75th (2:13.29L) +1.26s best time

 

Hollie Smith

Female 100 Breaststroke – 47th (1:14.06L) + 0.47s best time

Female 200 IM – 138th (2:32.76L) -1.67s best time

To Hollie Smith who signed the National Letter of Intent to the University of Illinois on November 11th, 2011.  She will receive a Scholarship to the University of Illinois, swimming on the Swim Team for the "Fighting Illini".

 

 

Congratulations to Warren Mayer who was selected by Swimming Canada for the ‘North American Challenge Cup’ and swam for Canada in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for the ‘Canada Prospects Team’ this past August.  Warren swam on some relay teams as well as competed in individual events.  In the Men’s  11- 12 yr 4 x 100 Freestyle Relay, Warren swam first with a time of 1:00.55 sec and the team won Gold. On the Men’s 11 – 12 4 x 50 Freestyle Relay team, Warren swam third with a time of 27.56 sec and the team also won a gold medal in this event.
