Congratulations to our October 2018 Swimmers of the Month!
The Swimmer of the Month award goes to one swimmer in each group who consistently tries their best and works hard in all that they do. They must have excellent attendance, at practice and at swim meets, so they can demonstrate their improvements during a training and competition setting. And above all, they need to have a positive attitude and be a good role model to their teammates. The Swimmer of the Month must exemplify discipline, dedication, and respect, among other values, that we try to promote to our young athletes with the Pickering Swim Club.

- Tymera Dunbar is Swimmer of the Month for the Red group. Tymera has started this season off with a bang. Right from day one she has applied herself to her practices and has become one of my group’s leaders during our main practice sets. We can see the results from above as she had a great Sprint Meet, winning 6 events for 12 & U girls and taking and impressive amount of time off her 100 Free, 100 and 200 Breaststroke. I look forward to coaching Tymera at the upcoming Championship meets that she has qualified for.
Ella Persaud is Swimmer of the Month for the White group. Ella has done a great job so far this year working on improving her technique and push herself to new limits in practice. She has attended every practice and is very determined to improve her strokes while having fun doing it. During the past two meets, Ella has taken off time in every event. Congratulations Ella and keep up the great work!
